my first musical

Today, I watched my first official musical ever at the Esplanade!!! CHICAGO!!! =)
The musical was great! Luckily I read up a little about it so I had a rough idea what it was about and could sorta catch the story lines and all. But I think they had quite a bit of sexual implications here and there which I really didn't understand. Thankfully, that didn't take up bulk of the musical. Haha.

Had a really sumptuous dinner before that at Shokudo at Raffles City again!! Ordered 3 main dishes and a dessert and a drink!!! Gosh. Had their cheese and mushroom omelette (my fav), salmon bamboo rice, and rosti (with the sausage and egg!), and peach with ice-cream crepe!! And there was this bottled green tea we bought which we later found out it was $5!! *faints* So dinner was really expensive. Amounted to $20 each lar. *ouch* But I enjoyed the food. Haha.

Oh! And i went to the IR!! haha... walked that dna bridge, and went into that casino building... it's HUGE!!! hahaha.. it's still rather bare inside but I think it's definitely worth a visit once its up. =)

Alrightie!! This sums my happy portion of the day.

Now for the event that got me rather unhappy about.
I'm staying in hall this semester cause I was supposedly granted the 50% off for hall stay. This subsidy is given based on what commitments you have this hols and how much they feel you can contribute to hall. So 50% off meant I only had to pay $450 for the 3 months I'll dedicate here. However, I only found out today that because my whole committee didn't get the full subsidy of 50%, our chair decided to set the subsidy as a lumpsum shared amongst all of us. And that would mean I'll have to pay $600 instead!

I mean the initiative was good, but I was just pissed that he didn't tell us earlier cause it would have changed my decision to stay so much! I mean I'm already living off my savings. I don't know how long I can last and now I've to fork out another $150. Had I known earlier I'll just move out. Well, I could still move out now but I'm just way too busy settling YEP stuff. I'm flying on THIS TUES!!! And I haven't packed at all! ARGH!!!

I just really hope that those people who weren't granted the subsidy will work their ass off as those who were suppose to be granted the full subsidy. Otherwise I'll be damn pissed. I just don't think it's fair especially for the event I/Cs.

Now I gotta think of how to scrimp and save. Bleh.

Ok, that's the unhappy portion of my day. But whatever. Overall, I had a good day today. =)
Set many dates already as well after I'm back from Chiangmai. Haha... gotta meet up with my nanny's family, besties, and many more!!! Gosh.

Well.. guess I'll end here.
Take care everyone!!! =)

My most attention seeking night.

I officially announce 4th May night as my most attention seeking and receiving night in my life thus far. Nothing to be proud of in fact. Anyways, here's the gist.

As you all know, I've been complaining about this level 4000 econs mod that I'm taking and that I was close to dropping during the beginning of this semester but decided to stick on in the end.. it stressed me out sooo much I started having suicidal thoughts(stupid I know). It reached a point where I felt I had to listen to my parents' voice before I really do anything dumb and so I did. Totally broke down like a baby when I talked to them. I knew they were going to worry but I just really had to talk to someone. Felt slightly better after the phone call... Then my neighbour Chengmeng popped by cause she heard my cries! =X Felt so bad for frightening her!

Following that, Xiuqi surprised me with her visit! Was talking to her the day before and told her I was stressed and the next thing I knew, it was her with a jam filled mentos and a sweet note at my doorstep! Felt so touched! Then... Chooi and Ethel surprisingly came by and their happy dispositions made me felt a whole lot better. Ethel was so sweet she came in with a cup of therapeutic tea . By then, I told myself I had to pull myself together and START STUDYING.

Just when I was about to start, my phone rang and my mum said "girl ah, can you open the gate for us? We're downstairs.. " And i was like.. O.O!?!?!?!
So my parents came cause they were so worried for me. And they specially stopped by Katong and got my FRESHLY MADE DIMSUM!!! 4 boxes!!! my goodness. That was really a defining moment. I told myself no matter what, I must not let my parents down. They were just sooooooooooo sweet. =S

I'm one super blessed girl. Just when I thought that was the end of my most attention seeking night... rachie came back with a starbucks muffin for me! *sniffs* and told me siaoer went around calling pple in hall to check I was alright!! *double sniffs*.

So... with soooo much love, I had to WAKE UP MY IDEA and MUG. And that's what I did. Can only hope for the best now.

After the last paper, I received 1 more major surprise that marked the end of this saga of mine. Haha... I met rachie and siaoer at IMM after my paper, then siaoer very oddly said she wanted to eat macs so I was like o.O cause she hardly asks for macs... but ok.. we sat down and talked for quite a bit... then out of nowhere, this secret recipe box appeared in my face with a "nah" and it was huiling!!! *TOUCHED TO THE MAX SPIDER* It was a really really unexpected surprise! Ok, pardon my excessive use of surprise. Can't think of any other words right now. It's 4.25am! I'm so gonna die later. hahaha. So anyways, yeah.. it was a lovely apple crumble cheesecake, something i always wanted to try from secret recipe. It wasn't too bad! Think their size shrunk horribly though. haha.. THANK YOU SIAO ER once again for planning this. =)

Ok. This ends my saga. Haha. =)

*totally loved and blessed*
